Page 5 [MSI Z270 Fan Control]Sep 06, 2017 An easy way to make your laptop silent by controling it's fan speed. Aug 01, 2015 I got a little problem with MSI Afterburner. I hope some of you can help me. I use MSI Afterburner mainly to set the speed of my GPU fans. The problem is that sometimes the 'auto' setting (under 'Fan Speed') decides to disabled itself, whitout me doing anything. If I don't notice it, my GPU temperature increases a lot while gaming. I have a msi gl62 6qf that I bought new last week and the fan is always running? Im not running anything, the cpu is at 0% and the rest on task manager are at normal levels. In fact the air that is blowing is very cold. The fan is just loud and annoying, is this normal? Dec 26, 2018 A new beta version of MSI's Afterburner software brings Nvidia's auto-overclocking Scanner feature to Pascal graphics cards. Tuning Designed for limitless tuning. MSI Z270 Fan Control
MSI outlines that they have many headers on their motherboards, and all of them are hybrid DC/PWM mode headers. How to make a table in dev c++. What MSI does very well that other vendors don't typically do, is list exactly what the default mode of all the headers are and which headers are auto detection.
While all their headers are DC/PWM hybrid, MSI does list exactly what the control signals will change to depending on mode changes. Another neat feature MSI has are two RGB LEDs, one next to the CPU and Pump fan headers on the Z270 Gaming M7, and they will go red or green to signify they are in PWM or DC mode.
MSI Z270 UEFI Offering
I had already written about MSI's fan control in their Z270 Build Guide, so I decided to use my images from that article since they have been modified to describe the different settings. MSI allows you to choose between the CPU or system temperature for reference; they also have a real-time legend of the points you pick on the graph. You can also manually set the mod, alter fan set up/down times, and if you choose different modes, it will change the voltage levels to PWM duty cycle levels.
MSI Software Offering
MSI's offerings for fan control are found in their Command Center application. The fans also support auto-tuning, where MSI's calibrates and then tunes your fans for you to their automatic profile. However, some of the features you get in the UEFI aren't present in their Windows application. They do have a heat map of the motherboard, and you can see which fans are plugged into what headers.

My asus prime X470 pro will only let my case fans run up to 70 c before the fan curve increase, no matter what i do i can't get it to be the same fan speed all the time do to the bios.
It's not a big deal since it shouldn't when gaming go above 60 ish with my ryzen 5 2600x at 4.1ghz.
I use my define r6's fan hub that is controlled by the mb the limiteds the samme fan speed to 70c
Besides buying diffrent fans or a low noise adapter from 12 volt to 7 and letting the fans in the bios run at 12 volt/100% which is 7 volt or max 700 rpm, ist there anything else i can do?
